For Local Transport

The venue and recommended accommodation of the Conference (July 18-20) are located at the Swan Lake View Hotel (Position 1).

The venue of the Summer School (July 15-17) is located at SECUF, Huairou Campus, IOP, CAS. And the recommended accommodation is also located at the Swan Lake View Hotel (Position 1).

For your convenience, we will set up scheduled shuttle buses during the conference. Please pay attention to the subsequent information.

 

For International Visitors

While planning a trip to China, the visa topic always comes first and seriously. Please check with Chinese embassies in your countries or the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) that serves your residence area for your visa application details at your earliest convenience.

We have compiled resources to assist international attendees in the process of obtaining a visa, and while we make every attempt to keep this page up-to-date, please note that regulations may change. To avoid any travel delays and disruptions, we recommend that all travelers read and follow the instructions in the guidance issued by the official websites of Chinese embassies in your countries carefully.

(1) Unilateral visa-free policy

Nationals of 38 countries including Brunei, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan holding valid ordinary passports can be exempted from visa requirement if entering into China for the purpose of business, tourism, family or friends visits, exchange and transit. They can stay in China for no more than 30 days without visa.

(2) 240-hour transit visa-free policies

China has relaxed and optimized the visa-free transit policy from 17 Decemmber, 2024. The stay duration for foreign nationals eligible for visa-free transit has been extended from the previous 72 hours and 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days). Additionally, 21 ports of entry and exit have been added for visa-free transit individuals, further expanding the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers. Individuals from 54 eligible countries, including Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada, traveling from China to a third country (region), can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and stay within the allowed areas for visa-free transit travelers for no more than 240 hours.

The applicant must be a citizen of one of the following 54 countries that are eligible for the visa-free transit policy:

Europe (40 countries): Albania, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine;

The Americas (6 countries): Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, and the United States of America;

Oceania (2 countries): Australia and New Zealand;

Asia (6 countries): Brunei, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Qatar, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

(3) F visa

International participants may need a Chinese visa to enter China. It is suggested to apply for a “F” visa. To avoid uncertainty, participants will be advised to apply for the visa as early as possible (at least two months in advance).
