Description

The SECUF series of annual conferences and summer schools was firstly launched in 2022, for promoting academic exchange and collaboration on cutting-edge research in condensed matter physics and material science under synergetic extreme conditions. It is based on a newly accomplished user facility - Synergetic Extreme Condition User Facility (SECUF) which is located in Huairou, Beijing and is now opening to academic and industrial users in China and world-wide. Previously, SECUF-2022 (online), SECUF-2023 (in person) and SECUF-2024 (in person) were successfully organized, with the participation of hundreds of invited speakers and a large audience.

SECUF-2025 consists of two parts. The first part is a Summer School, which delivers tutorial lectures on fundamental knowledges of researches under extreme physical conditions, together with the introduction of the experimental conditions available in SECUF. The second part is a Conference containing one plenary session and four parallel sessions, for exchanging newest research progresses under extreme physical conditions.

Plenary Session: The conference on physics under synergetic extreme conditions.

Session 1: Emergent quantum materials and phenomena under high pressure extreme conditions.

Session 2: Physical properties under synergetic extreme conditions.

Session 3: Quantum transport in low dimensional materials and quantum devices at ultralow temperatures.

Session 4: Ultrafast physics and technology.

The conference and the summer school will be organized inย Huairou, Beijing.

There is no registration fee for Summer School and Conference.ย 

For Conference and general attendees, the cost of the round trip and accommodation will be covered by the attendees' theirselves. The deadline for the registration isย July 5. Please register at โ€œRegistration (for all attendees)โ€ย in the Registration & Hotel Reservation tab. For more information, please see the โ€œConferenceโ€ tab.

For the Summer School, SECUF will provide accommodation and meals for 120 participants. Participants are responsible for covering their own travel expenses. ย To apply, please first register under โ€œRegistration (for all attendees)โ€ and then submit your application under โ€œSummer School (for applying for SECUF-support)โ€ย in the Registration & Hotel Reservation section. The application deadline isย June 15. SECUF will select 120 participants from the pool of applicants. For further details, please refer to theย โ€œSummer Schoolโ€ section.

If your itinerary is confirmed and will stay at the conference hotel, please fill in the โ€œHotel Reservation & Itinerary Arrangementโ€ form in theย Registration & Hotel Reservation tab. Hotel Reservations made after July 5 are not guaranteed to be available.ย 

If you are selected to received SECUF-support for the summer school, your accommodation during the summer school will be arranged by the organizer.ย  ย
